A quick trip to Riga

From my hometown the distance both to Lithuanian capital Vilnius and Latvian capital Riga is the same. So whenever we feel like visiting a big city, we can easily choose either. This time we felt like visiting Riga. And seeing The Nutcracker in Latvijas Nacionala Opera.

We got up way too early, stopped by Riga’s Motormuseum, checked out all the old cars (guys were so interested we had to drag them out of there), then went to the ballet, quick run through Riga’s oldtown - as it was so incredibly cold and windy and snowy we kinda wanted to kill ourselves and not to go further. Then stopped by this huge complex of restaurants and souvenir shops and skating ring and and and… And finally we got back home.

Just couple pics, crappy quality but I was again too lazy to carry my bigger camera with me so Nokia had to do it.

If by any chance you’d like to see the rest of the pics, go here.

If you’d like to see Riga in summer, check the pics google. And if you decide to come to see Riga yourself, please do. I would like to show you around. Just please, oh please, come when the weather is at least a bit warmer. Thank you.
